Dates of unions of Circuits which now comprise South Wirral Circuit are as follows: - 1933 - Bebington Circuit, known as Birkenhead South Circuit until 1943, formed from: - Rock Ferry Wesleyan Circuit, which was formed in 1888 from Birkenhead Wesleyan Circuit. Birkenhead Primitive Methodist Second al. Mount Tabor Circuit, which was formed in 1895 from Birkenhead Primitive Methodist Circuit. 1934 - Ellesmere Port Circuit formed from: - Ellesmere Port Wesleyan Circuit, which was formed out of Chester Wesleyan Circuit in 1912. Ellesmere Port Primitive Methodist Circuit, which was formed out of Chester Primitive Methodist First Circuit in 1891. 1972 - South Wirral Circuit formed from: - Bebington Circuit.
